Developed by the owners of the legendary French Quarter restaurant Arnaud's (which  specializes in authentic haute-Creole cookery), Remoulade features the casual side of Creole Cuisine and fresh seafood, and serves some of the best tasting food in New Orleans.  Their po-boys, for example, are absolutely delicious and are second to none.  The combo baskets, like shrimp and oysters, have wonderfully fried golden brown large shrimp and succulent oysters that can only be described as scrumptious.
Located on famed Bourbon Street and open from 11:30 a.m. to after midnight, Remoulade caters to out-of-towners who stroll the French Quarter at their own pace, and to locals who stop in for lunch, or a drink and a quick bite after work.  Famous Shrimp Arnaud, red beans and rice, oysters on the half shell, and po-boys share the menu with 8-oz. specialty burgers, grilled all-beef hot dogs, and thin-crust pizza.

The 70-seat Remoulade at 309 Bourbon Street opened in March 1994. From its granite-topped tables and magnificent antique mahogany bar to the eclectic menu, the restaurant fits right in with the casual, relaxed flavor of world-famous Bourbon Street.  This is a must for everyone who likes to prowl  the French Quarter, night or day!

The Gumbo Shop
The Gumbo Shop is located in one of America’s most historic neighborhoods – the “Vieux Carre” (French for “old square”), also known as the French Quarter. It is, you might say, at ground zero when it comes to a quintessential New Orleans experience. Located just a half block from the historic St. Louis Cathedral and Jackson Square, you can hear the cathedral bells tolling as you dine in the courtyard beneath the shade of huge banana trees.
Open since the 1920’s as a restaurant, this Louisiana Colonial townhouse is one of a handful of 18th century buildings left in the Quarter. The structure was built in 1795 to replace a building that was destroyed in the devastating 1794 fire that started around the corner from the restaurant and almost wiped out the city.
While this is a place that could easily slip by on ambiance alone, it is the food that will attract you the most. Everything on the menu is state-of-the-art New Orleans, Cajun, Creole delicious! The seafood gumbo is likely the best you've ever eaten and the French bread is so good that you will have your waiter hopping to bring you more. And the shrimp remoulade is a Louisiana dish that you just can't seem to find anywhere else in the world. Really good food in the inimitable New Orleans' way!

The second-floor dining balcony allows diners a beautiful view of the historical Mississippi River, while guests preferring to dine inside are treated to elegance and opulence. Carmelo's private wine cellar holds an impressive list of Italian wines which gives rise to the restaurant's motto, "At Carmelo, You Eat and Drink Italian."
