Jane Ferguson Breedlove
(1935 - 2012)
SHREVEPORT, LA- Funeral services celebrating the life of Frances Jane Breedlove will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday March 10, 2012 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. John Harp. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2012 at the funeral home.
Jane was born March 26th in Garrison, TX. She passed away on March 7, 2012 in Shreveport. She graduated from Fair Park High School in 1953, where she was an ROTC sponsor. She was a proud wife of a Shriner. She was a resident of Shreveport and a Realtor for over 40 years with Coldwell Banker Dowling. She was a member of Brookwood Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Rev. Harry Ferguson; brothers, Bill Ferguson and Harry Ferguson; sister, Juneice Rushing. Jane is survived by her husband, Robert (Bobby) Breedlove; daughters, Ruth Adams and husband, Ricky, Rebecca Breedlove; grandson, Taylor Adams, her heart and soul; sister, Ann Kelly; sister-in-law, Mary Ferguson; nieces, Kathy Hurd and husband, Ronnie, Lisa McWethy and husband, John, Patti Lubking: nephew, Harry Ferguson; great-nieces, Hannah Bauer, Kaley McWethy, Baleigh Ferguson; great-nephews, Kyle McWethy, Steve Lubking and several other nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Dubois, Pete King, Robert LaBorde, Jerry Chandler, Harry Ferguson and Ronnie Hurd. Honorary pallbearer is John McWethy.
Memorials may be made to Shriner's Hospital.
Special thanks to Life Care, Dr. Morrison, Dr. Manapragada, Dr. Cassiere, and nurses, Jennifer, Jonathan and Jason and Agape Hospice.

SHREVEPORT, LA- Funeral services for A.P. Philan, 77, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 27, 2012 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Dr. Joseph Brown. Visitation with family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Sunday, February 26, 2012 at the funeral home.
A.P. was born June 2, 1934 in Winnfield, LA to Willis and Minnie Philan. He passed away February 24, 2012 in Shreveport, LA. He worked as a paint contractor and truck driver for Arkla.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, and 3 sisters. He is survived by his loving wife, Elba Christine Philan; son, Richard Alan Philan and wife, Tanya; daughters, Sherry Lynne Hedlund and husband, Richard, and Terry Anne Thomas and husband, Dana; grandchildren, Tanner Philan, Amy Moushon, Amanda Rowell and Ashley Rowell; and sister, Audell Lindsay and 8 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Marty Watson, Tanner Philan, John Mathews, Ronald Park, Marvin Park, Robert Park, Alan Moushon and Ronnie Dodd.

Derrell R. "Zeke" Howard
(1934 - 2012)
SHREVEPORT, LA-Funeral services for Derrell Ray "Zeke" Howard will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday February 4, 2012 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Chad Hardbarger assisted by Rev. Harry Forester. Interment will follow in Forest Park West. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday February 3, 2012 at the funeral home.
Zeke was born in Shreveport, LA on November 15, 1934 and passed away on February 1, 2012 at the age of 77. Those who knew him will remember him as a devoted husband, father, grandfather and a fun-loving jokester who delighted in making people laugh. Dear to his heart were the Fair Park class of 1953 and the Collins Sunday School class at Emmanuel Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He retired from the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Department in 1993.
He is preceded in death by his parents, A.A. "Dude" and Eloise Howard and his grandson, Stephen Wayne Schurman, II, He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Gwen Howard. Also surviving him are his daughters, Judy Seay and husband, Steve, and Linda Howard and friend, Adana Barber; granddaughters, Rachel Schurman and Sarah Schurman and fiancé, Jordan Powell; brother, Jim Howard and wife, Betty and numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving, as pallbearers are Charles Edminston, Donald Ray Cooper, Charles Hickman, Glenn Dumas, Paxton Dickson, Carl Morgan, Jimmy Raye, and Don Nesbitt. Honorary pallbearers are Shag Dickard, Bill Oliver, Randy Coke, Herman Palmer and Sonny Sorrell.

Lawrence Bell Courtney
(1934-2011)
BLANCHARD, LA - Lawrence "Larry-L.B." Bell Courtney, age 77, was born October 12, 1934 in Shreveport, LA and passed away November 22, 2011 at his home with his family. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Friday, November 25, 2011 at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home in Vivian, LA. Burial will follow in Slaughter Cemetery in Rodessa, LA. There will be a time of visitation on Wednesday, the 23rd from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
He attended Linda Lay Baptist Church in Gilliam, LA. He loved to go hunting, fishing and feeding his squirrels in his front yard. He also loved to build anything out of wood.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, R.L. and Alice Courtney and his sister, Alice Wright of Oil City, LA. He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Serio Courtney; his former wife, Betty Wright Courtney and their five daughter; Jackie Courtney, Kathy Cason and husband Joe, Debbie Reagan, Patty Kennedy and husband Junior, and Kim Courtney. He is also survived by his step-children, Robert P Harlan Jr., Phyllis Shaw, Boyd (Dickie) Miller and wife Vickie, Tina Cole and husband John, many grandchildren and great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Joey Rohrer, Eric Norris, Meral Courtney, Michael Courtney, Todd Courtney, Joe Cason and Ethan Norris.
